Fawn Eruptor galloped on Spritely Brew soon after the start, severely checking Spritely Brew which pulled up. Fawn Eruptor checked off Xevra Allen approaching the first turn. Fawn Eruptor, Xevra Allen and Sandulad collided on the first turn, checking Sandulad. Fawn Eruptor checked off Xevra Allen approaching the home turn, also checking Sandulad.
Spritely Brew was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
