Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Coburn, the trainer of Silver Trident, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Silver Trident last raced on 27/2/18. Mr Coburn stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hamstring injury.
Silver Trident went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Silver Trident checked off Top Alcohol soon after the start. Mahlo Nacho and Crackerjack Shak collided soon after the start. Clavash and Charlotte Allen collided approaching the first turn. Iceni Outlaw and Clavash collided approaching the first turn, checking Iceni Outlaw and Silver Trident. Mahlo Nacho, Crackerjack Shak and Top Alcohol collided approaching the first turn, checking Crackerjack Shak. Silver Trident checked off Charlotte Allen approaching the home turn. Crackerjack Shak and Iceni Outlaw collided entering the home straight.
Silver Trident was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
