Steward's Report

Machiko was quick to begin.

Thank Me Later, Rebel Lad, Totally Fab and Machiko collided soon after the start checking Totally Fab.  Totally Fab, Machiko and Three Scoops collided approaching the first turn checking Totally Fab and Machiko.  Miz Josie and Joyce's Choice collided on the first turn.  Three Scoops checked off Thank Me Later entering the home straight.  Miz Josie eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gregory Tatt, the trainer of the greyhound Miz Josie regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Miz Josie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Miz Josie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Tatt pleaded guilty to the charge, Miz Josie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rebel Lad was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Anderson the trainer regarding the direction that the greyhound Joyce's Choice be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
