Steward's Report
Lilywhites, Carlanna Casey, Greg's Prince and Chook Richards collided on the first turn, checking Greg's Prince. All Revved Up and Gazza's Girl collided in the back straight. Gazza's Girl eased on the second turn and lost ground. All Revved Up and Chook Richards collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking All Revved Up. Communique and All Revved Up collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms Belinda Harley, the trainer of the greyhound Gazza's Girl, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Gazza's Girl was vetted and revetted following event five. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg wrist and shoulder muscle, and left foreleg stopper injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Gazza's Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Harley pleaded guilty to the charge, Gazza's Girl was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
