Burnout and Raw Ability collided soon after the start. Rapanui Reveller and Zipping Inglis collided soon after the start. Catch Me Curly and Zipping Inglis collided soon after the start. Raw Ability galloped on Catch Me Curly approaching the first turn checking Raw Ability, Rapanui Reveller, Zipping Inglis and Catch Me Curly. Catch Me Curly galloped on Hone In approaching the first turn checking Catch Me Curly and Hone In. Burnout, Catch Me Curly, Raw Ability and Zipping Inglis collided on the first turn checking Catch Me Curly, Rapanui Reveller and severely checking Burnout and Raw Ability who both fell and collided with the outside fence, severely checking Zipping Inglis who stumbled over the fallen greyhounds. Burnout pulled up approaching the winning post and failed to finish.
