Steward's Report
Vane Power and Yogi Mikado were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Acclaim and Tarika Tara collided approaching the first turn. Acclaim, Lady Mikado and Fifty Dollar collided on the first turn checking Tarika Tara. Acclaim and Yogi Mikado eased entering the back straight. Tarika Tara and Yogi Mikado collided entering the back straight. Yogi Mikado and Acclaim collided in the back straight through to the third turn. Yogi Mikado marred Acclaim on the third turn severely checking Acclaim. Good Odds Ava and Vane Power collided on the home turn. Fifty Dollar and Lady Mikado collided on the home turn and again approachng the winning post.
Acclaim was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Douch, the trainer of the greyhound Acclaim regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Acclaim with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Douch pleaded guilty to the charge. Acclaim was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber the representative of the greyhound Yogi Mikado regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight. Yogi Mikado was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pectoral muscle injury and a left and right pencil muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Yogi Mikado with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Yogi Mikado was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfctory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
