Steward's Report

Terrah Lecki was a late scratching at 14:12 on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas).  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Acer was quick to begin.  Fabulous Cash and Goodbye Goldie collided soon after the start.  Darcon Flash crossed in soon after the start and collided with Dyna Cadet, Goodbye Goldie and Fabulous Cash checking Dyna Cadet and Goodbye Goldie.  Darcon Flash and Fabulous Cash collided approaching the first turn.  Tail Inspector eased entering the back straight and collided with Darcon Flash as a result.  Fabulous Cash and Dyna Cadet collided entering the back straight.  Tail Inspector raced wide in the back straight.  Dyna Cadet and Acer collided entering the home straight.

Tail Inspector was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Mr. Carrodus-Nagy declined to option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Carrodus-Nagy, the trainer of the greyhound Tail Inspector regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Tail Inspector with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Carrodus-Nagy pleaded guilty to the charge, Tail Inspector was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Bags Of Bucks - the winner of the event.
