Steward's Report
Zoe The Pest was a late scratching at 8:14pm after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented for this event.
The starting time for this event was amended to 8:21pm.
She's Gifted, Cosmic Yessam and Brindle Bay were slow to begin. Mi Blue Day, Cosmic Yessam and Brindle Bay collided soon after the start checking Cosmic Yessam. Heard It Before, Mi Blue Day and Brindle Bay collided on the first turn severely checking Mi Blue Day. Cosmic Yessam and Brindle Bay collided approaching the second turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Neil Jones representative/handler regarding the late scratching of Zoe The Pest in this event and subsequently charged Mr. Neil Jones with a breach of GAR 31 (1) in that he failed to present the correct greyhound to stewards at kennelling for this event. Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge. When considering a penalty Stewards took into consideration Mr. Jones's co-operation and guilty plea with this incident. Mr. Jones was found guilty and issued with a $250 fine.
