Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr B.Divirgilio, the handler of Benny's Entity regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Benny's Entity last raced on 7 November, 2017. Mr Divirgilio stated that the greyhound was resuming racing
Mr T.Boehmke trainer of Dream Boulevard declared a new weight of 28.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dream Boulevard last raced at 29.8kg.
Benny's Entity and Flashing Lights collided soon after the start. Benny's Entity, Krupa and Flashing Lights collided approaching the first turn. Benny's Entity, Flashing Lights, Krupa and Scarlet Magic collided on the first turn checking Rocket Ruby, Scarlet Magic and Full Of Weetbix. Rocket Ruby galloped on the heels of Flashing Lights approaching the home turn and causing Rocket Ruby to fall. Flashing Lights and Scarlet Magic collided approaching the home turn. Rocket Ruby clipped the heels of Flashing Lights entering the home straight checking Scarlet Magic. Krupa and Dream Boulevard collided approaching the winning post.
Rocket Ruby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a front right torn toenail and an injury to the right biceps. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
