Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Coleman, the trainer of Zipping Boyd regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping Boyd last raced on 3 February 2018. Ms. Coleman stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a back muscle injury.
Lonesome Spring was slow to begin.
Let Him Ride and Ruby Rads collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Backin' Bully, Soft Music and Super Stoked collided soon after the start checking Soft Music. Bolare, Soft music and Zipping Boyd collided on the first turn checking Soft Music, Ruby Rads and Let Him Ride. Super Stoked and Backin' Bully collided approaching the home turn. Super Stoked and Lonesome Spring raced wide in the home straight.
Soft Music was vetted and re-vetted following the event 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a pelvic injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
