Stewards spoke to handler James Doyle regarding his footwear when handling Home Runner. Mr Doyle was issued a warning for breaching GAR 86(z) in that he failed to wear shoes that were black in colour only. Mr Doyle was further advised that a similar breach of the dress code may result in a financial sanction being issued..

Disco Lemonade was quick to begin.  Montana Fernando, Joe Panther and Big Tilly were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Westbrook, the representative of the greyhound Joe Panther regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Joe Panther was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain and left thigh injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Joe Panther with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Westbrook pleaded guilty to the charge, Joe Panther was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Daytona Fernando was slow to begin.

Seeking Stars crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Seeking Stars, Pharoah's Dream, Zambora Ella, Well Armed, Miami Fernando and Pandora's Proof.  Money Dud and Seeking Stars collided on the first turn checking Seeking Stars.  Pharoah's Dream and Money Dud collided on the first turn.  Seeking Stars and Miami Fernando collided approaching the home turn checking Miami Fernando. Well Armed, Pharoah's Dream and Money Dud raced wide in the home straight.

Striking Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle and right groin injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Cramp) - Kouta And Cream trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 27.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.60, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 1/2 lengths. Kouta And Cream was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Slingshot Sassy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 25.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 1/2 lengths. Slingshot Sassy was Cleared.
