Steward's Report
We Froff Dat was a late scratching at 1.30pm due to a leg injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards noted the explanation from representative Dylan Bate.
A pre-race sample was taken from Open Mind.
Ariki Whero was quick to begin. Zambra Icon lost ground approaching the first turn and tailed off. Our Flying Laura and Open Mind collided on the first turn. Our Flying Laura and Campeon collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Zambra Icon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
