Miss Peanut was quick to begin. Lake Lovin' and Big Tilly were slow to begin.
Papa Duncs and Lake Lovin' collided soon after the start. Southwood Bill and Alpanda collided on the first turn, checking Southwood Bill. Big Tilly and Southwood Bill collided on the first turn, checking Big Tilly. Cruisy's Angle raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
