A pre-race sample was taken from Why That upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Hillside Lady, Why That and Unbackable collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Tiggerlong Cruz, Beanbag and Solitary Girl collided soon after the start. Beanbag and Solitary Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Solitary Girl. Hillside Lady, Why That and Unbackable collided on the first turn checking Why That and severely checking Unbackable; Unbackable fell as a result.
Unbackable was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
