Militant Magic and Connor Allen were slow to begin.  Dyna Carmen and Dewana Sprite collided soon after the start.  Diego Fernando and Lojay Jones collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Militant Magic and Connor Allen collided on the first turn checking Connor Allen.  Militant Magic checked off Dewana Sprite on the first turn.  Connor Allen and Militant Magic collided on the second turn checking Connor Allen.  Connor Allen and Dyna Carmen collided entering the home straight.  Rowchester Miss and Militant Magic collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Lagogiane, the representative of the greyhound Lojay Jones and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring he arrives at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve his greyhound for racing, pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Dyna Winkler, Boomer Blitz and Total Mayhem collided soon after the start.  Full Tilt and Dark Star collided soon after the start.  Dyna Hendry and Dark Star collided approaching the first turn.  Power To Wyn raced wide on the first turn.  Dyna Hendry and Dark Star collided on the first turn checking Dark Star.  Dyna Winkler and Total Mayhem collided on the second turn checking Total Mayhem.  Power To Wyn checked off Total Mayhem on the second turn.  Dyna Winkler and Dark Star collided on the third turn checking Dark Star.  Dark Star and Power To Wyn collided on the third turn checking Dark Star.  Total Mayhem checked off Dark Star on the third turn.  Full Tilt and Boomer Blitz collided on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Why That upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Hillside Lady, Why That and Unbackable collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Tiggerlong Cruz, Beanbag and Solitary Girl collided soon after the start.  Beanbag and Solitary Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Solitary Girl.  Hillside Lady, Why That and Unbackable collided on the first turn checking Why That and severely checking Unbackable; Unbackable fell as a result.

Unbackable was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Dyna Evelyn, the winner of the event.

Barroom Counsel and Nareen were quick to begin.  Sir Jay Jay and Mick's Angel collided soon after the start checking Mick's Angel.  Liebig Street faltered approaching the first turn.  Sir Jay Jay raced wide in the front straight.  Mick's Angel, Jane's Intention and Nareen collided on the fifth turn checking Jane's Intention and Nareen.  Flash Intention tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Liebig Street was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left wrist and right shoulder.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Riveting was slow to begin.  Clovally Granite and Captain Risky collided soon after the start.  Dream Future, My Name's David and Crackerjack Nath collided soon after the start checking My Name's David.  My Name's David, Sable Sass, Captain Risky and Clovally Granite collided approaching the first turn checking Captain Risky and Sable Sass.  Dream Future and Crackerjack Nath collided approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Nath.  Dream Future and Down Mexico Way collided on the first turn.  Clovally Granite and My Name's David collided on the first turn checking Clovally Granite.  Riveting and Clovally Granite collided entering the back straight.  Riveting crossed to the rail on the third turn checking Clovally Granite.  Down Mexico Way and Dream Future collided on the third turn checking Dream Future.

Oshkosh Expert and Dyna Carnie collided soon after the start.  Hot Tip and Carla Zeus collided soon after the start.  Verne Allen and Oshkosh Expert collided on the first turn.  Oshkosh Expert and Oshkosh Uni Chet collided on the first turn.  Oshkosh Uni Chet and Hot Tip collided entering the front straight.  Oshkosh Expert, Oshkosh Uni Chet, Hot Tip and Carla Zeus collided on the second turn checking all four greyhounds.  Carla Zeus, Hot Tip and Oshkosh Uni Chet collided approaching the third turn checking all three greyhounds. Oshkosh Uni Chet brushed the rail on the third turn.  Dewana Special and Verne Allen collided on the fourth turn checking Dewana Special.

Oshkosh Uni Chet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to right hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of event 7, an electrical fault in a light tower near the 600 metre boxes caused the light malfunction.  The light was subsequently shut down by the course electrician.  Stewards inspected that area of the track and were satisfied that the lack of lighting in that small area would not impact the running of the greyhounds.

Immen Bale was a late scratching at 3:27pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards accepted the explanation tended by trainer, Mrs. A. Dailly.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tiggerlong Nosey upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Miss Innings and Hone In collided soon after the start checking Hone In.  Rock Up Top, Hone In, Miss Innings and Mossimo Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Hone In and Miss Innings.  Tiggerlong Nosey and Victor Dora collided on the first turn severely checking Victor Dora, Rock Up Top and Mossimo Bale.

A sample was taken from Envy Heist, the winner of the event.

Shep, Explosive Fox and Brindle Bay collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Dyna Maple and True Colours collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Dyna Maple.  Samsonite, Shanakee and Dyna Maple collided on the first turn checking Shanakee, Dyna Maple and Shep.  Samsonite checked off Dyna Gertie on the first turn.  Explosive Fox and Brindle Bay collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Shanakee crossed to the outside entering the home straight.

Miss Judge, Dyna Gavin and So Amazing collided soon after the start checking Miss Judge and Dyna Gavin.  No Excuse and Go Commando collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Gavin crossed to the outside on the first turn.  Miss Judge and Dyna Benny collided on the first turn.  Go Commando checked off No Excuse on the third turn.

A sample was taken from Boil Over, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Galea after the greyhound Main One was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr. Galea was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr. Tony Varichone after the greyhound Main One was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr. Varichone was reminded of his responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. 

Reign Of Omar, Dyna Aviator and Oh Jay Korie collided soon after the start.  Dyna Uni and Louie Allen collided soon after the start.  Louie Allen and Toss And Turn collided approaching the first turn checking Toss And Turn.  Reign Of Omar and Dyna Uni collided approaching the first turn.  Dorrigo Bale, Reign Of Omar, Dyna Uni and Louie Allen collided on the first turn checking Reign Of Omar and Dyna Aviator.  Dorrigo Bale and Dyna Uni collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Dorrigo Bale, Dyna Uni and Toss And Turn.  Reign Of Omar checked off Dorrigo entering the back straight checking Reign Of Omar and Toss And Turn.
