Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Delbridge, trainer of Zoro Bale, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zoro Bale last raced on 5 December 2017.  Mr Delbridge stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following soreness to both hocks.

Quick Defence which performed below market expectations was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Handler, Mr Shaun Colson stated the greyhound was fractious when placed in the boxes, which may have contributed to its poor performance.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Jones regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Destini Echo.  Stewards directed that Destini Echo be boxed first in future events.
