Steward's Report
Smash Flash and Firelight Twist were quick to begin. Zetella was slow to begin.
Mia's Toy and Miss Manuka collided on the first turn, checking Miss Manuka. Mia's Toy, Octo Flash and Calleva collided on the home turn, checking Octo Flash and Calleva. Mia's Toy crossed to the outside entering the home straight and collided with Octo Flash. Mia's Toy and Octo Flash collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds.
Mia's Toy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Stewards issued a warning to Mr Geoffrey Mitchell, the trainer of Mia's Toy, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
Stewards directed that Calleva undergo a veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
