Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Carter, the trainer of Roger's In Town regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Roger's In Town last raced on 18th November 2017. Mr. Carter stated that the greyhound was returning from a left front webbing injury.
Maharani was quick to begin. Clouded Acorn and Roger's In Town collided soon after the start. Scarlet's Secret and Maharani collided approaching the first turn. Clouded Acorn and Maharani collided on the first turn. Cosmic Moments and Zed Merrett collided on the first turn checking Zed Merrett.
