Steward's Report
Mac was a late scratching at 1:45pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right groin injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Carter, the trainer of Maximum Babe regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Maximum Babe last raced on 2nd December 2017. Maximum Babe stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a change of kennel and an extended spell.
Seabrook Indi and Haboob was quick to begin. Heartbreak Hermy and Maximum Babe collided soon after the start checking Maximum Babe. Flying Camo and Ishmy Girl collided on the first turn. Dum Didee Dum cramped entering the home straight and lost ground.
Dum Didee Dum was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered cramp. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Coulson, the representative of the greyhound Dum Didee Dum. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
