Steward's Report
This meeting was deemed to be Heat Affected as per GRV policy. At close of kennels, the ambient temperature was 28.2C and the kennel temperature was 20.5C.
Stewards spoke to Ms Vanessa Watson, the trainer of Simone's Magic, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Simone's Magic last raced on 22 November 2017. Ms Watson stated that the greyhound had sustained a left gracilis (back) muscle injury.
Silver Dollar and La Caprice were slow to begin.
Maniac Matilda and Simone's Magic collided soon after the start. Silver Dollar and Simone's Magic collided at the 250m mark. Simone's Magice and Mrs. Hardwicke collided at the 200m and again at the 150m mark. Like My Bro and La Caprice collided at the 100m mark.
Stewards spoke to Mr Joe Uglietta, trainer of La Caprice, after he removed the greyhound from the kennels without the permission of Stewards. Mr Uglietta was issued a warning, pursuant to GAR 42(2).
