Stewards spoke to Matthew Abela, the representative of Riverdale Sugar regarding the length of time between races. Riverdale Sugar last raced on 6 November 2017 and is returning to racing from being in season.
Sooky Jooky was a late scratching at 6.14pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to heat stress. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Kouta Gold.
Riverdale Sugar checked off Warrion Warrior soon after the start. Warrion Warrior, Galester Hook and Kouta Gold collided approaching the first turn, checking Galester Hook and Kouta Gold.
