This meeting is deemed hot weather affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 32.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 21.9 degrees.
Nimble Foot, Southwood Ace and Mahjong Heat were slow to begin.
No Fluke checked off Cruisy's Angle soon after the start. Cruisy's Angle and Hey Duggee collided approaching the first turn checking Hey Duggee. Cruisy's Angle and No Fluke collided on the first turn checking No Fluke, Southwood Ace and Nimble Foot. Under Sea lost ground approaching the home turn checking Cruisy's Angle. No Fluke and Mahjong Heat collided approaching the home turn. No Fluke and Hey Duggee Collided on the home turn. Cruisy's Angle and Under Sea collided approaching the winning post.
Under Sea was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left groin. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
