This meeting was deemed ‘hot weather affected’, prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was 31.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.5 degrees.
Lektra Oscar and Billy Bart were quick to begin. Stolen was slow to begin. Fast Freddie and Winterstein collided soon after the start. Fast Freddie checked off Just Tooie approaching the first turn. Fast Freddie and Stolen collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Fast Freddie. Fast Freddie raced wide on the home turn.
Fast Freddie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg hamstrings injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
