Steward's Report
She's Our Poppy was a late scratching at 8.01am due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
When the greyhounds were retrieved from the kennels for this event, the temperature in the kennels was 20.5 degrees and the outside temperature was 30.1 degrees.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ferno The Nando.
Ballistic Gem and Baudelaire collided soon after the start. Ferno The Nando and Killara John collided approaching the first turn checking Killara John. Baudelaire and Buzz The Tower collided on the home turn. Ballistic Gem checked off Tiger Cabang entering the home straight severely checking Ballistic Gem checking Buzz The Tower and Baudelaire.
Ballistic Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
