Scooby Scooby Do checked off New Fire Girl soon after the start checking Scooby Scooby Do.  I'll Swap Ya checked off New Fire Girl on the first turn.  Jen's Magic and I'll Swap Ya collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  I'll Swap Ya and Tarquin Bob raced wide in the home turn.

Stewards reminded Ms R. Romyn of her responsibilities for her failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Scooby Scooby Do.

Mr B. Noles, trainer of I'm Neegan declared a new weight of 31.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). I'm Neegan last raced at 33.0kgs.

Dark Stealth and Nash Road Kylie were slow to begin.

Maggie Mikado, Gypsy Kiowa and Nash Road Kylie collided soon after the start.  Maggie Mikado and Nash Road Kylie collided on the first turn.  Dark Stealth, Stealthy Mover, Acquire and Maggie Mikado raced extremely wide in the home turn.

Stealthy Mover was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Galaxy Star checked off Mister Heeney soon after the start.  Bling Worthy and Mr. Pendles collided on the first turn checking Bling Worthy which subsequently faultered.  Miss Kirteisha and Hello Nimble collided in the home straight.

Bling Worthy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that sustained a right wrist fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Dann, the representative of Knew It regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Knew It last raced on 19 October 2017.  Mr Dann stated that the greyhound was returning from a left Achilles injury.

Ballistic Gem was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S. Hastie, the trainer of Little Kensi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Little Kensi last raced on 17 September 2017. Mrs Hastie stated that the greyhound was returning from seasonal.

When the greyhounds were retrieved from the kennels for this event, the temperature in the kennels was 20.4 degrees and the outside temperature was 30.3 degrees.

A pre-race sample was taken from Malick.

This event was delayed by approximately 1min 20sec due to a gallops race at Ascot Park.

Grey Magic, Jayanti and Zipping Bob collided approaching the first turn checking Spritely Malibu, Fernando's Jewel and Zipping Bob.  Malick, Scott A Secret, Jayanti, Zipping Bob and Little Kensi collided on the first turn checking Malick, checking Zipping Bob which subsequently fell and severely checking Scott A secret.  Malick and Jayanti collided entering the home straight.

Zipping Bob was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left radius/ulna fracture, and was humanely euthanased.

Spring Ace was a late scratching at 11:22am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due toa right wrist injury. A7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Burns, the representative of Birkenhead regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Birkenhead last raced on 2 November 2017. Mr Burns stated that the greyhound was returning from a right hip injury.
