Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Karen Leek, the trainer of Savannah Ash, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Savannah Ash last raced on 5 October 2017. Ms Leek stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the head of the left fibula.
This event was delayed slightly due to operational matters.
A pre-race sample was taken from Savannah Ash.
Taking Aim and Stinga's Mate collided soon after the start, checking Stinga's Mate. Stinga's Mate and Destini Cowboy collided approaching the first turn, checking Destini Cowboy. Stinga's Mate checked off Watch Me Wyn on the second turn and collided heavily with Destini Cowboy; Stinga's Mate raced wide as a result. Royal Solo and Taking Aim collided on the third turn. Taking Aim and Watch Me Wyn collided on the third turn, checking Watch Me Wyn and Royal Solo.
Destini Cowboy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg saddle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
