Texas Blaze went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Swift Ruby and Supreme Prince collided soon after the start checking Swift Ruby. Mepunga Billy and Collis Princess collided approaching the first turn checking Collis Princess. Swift Ruby galloped on the heels of Desperado Boy approaching the home turn. Texas Blaze and Collis Princess collided approaching the home turn checking Collis Princess. Supreme Prince faltered approaching the home turn checking Swift Ruby. Supreme Prince and Collis Princess collided on the home turn checking Collis Princess.
Supreme Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and right groin. A stand down period of 7 day was imposed.
