Brindle Bay and Johnny Black were quick to begin. Magenta Gold was slow to begin. Light The Track, Dewana Special and Leopardstown collided approaching the first turn, checking Light The Track and Dewana Special. Light The Track checked off Dewana Special approaching the second turn. Dewana Special and Leopardstown collided approaching the third turn and again on the third turn, checking Leopardstown which lost ground.
Dewana Special was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg split webbing, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
