On Saturday 21 April 2018 Stewards conducted Out of Competition Testing at the Warrnambool Trials as follows: A. Carman (Thomeli Monster), R. Mahoney (Unnamed), J. McCosh (Unnamed), D. Drew (Aston Ninja & Annie Lava), S. Thompson (Aston Duke) and P. Byrne (Lecktra Elsa). Stewards also conducted the following Out of Competition Testing: R. Brewer (Jewell Fantasy, Slick Brew & Spritely Brew) and V. Inguanti (Inga Ted, Bobby Tokaam, Kadabra Monelli, Seeking Stars, Inga Ross, Unnamed).

Dechambeau was quick to begin and crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Mercedes Red, Dyna Winkler, Another Bling and Aston Kirui. Oh So Sleek contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Aston Kirui and Another Bling collided approaching the first turn, checking Another Bling. Destini Cavalier and Aston Kirui collided on the first turn, checking Aston Kirui and Another Bling. Aston Kirui and Another Bling collided entering the back straight, checking Another Bling. Oh So Sleek raced wide on the third turn and on the home turn.

Oh So Sleek was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Mercedes Red was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained. no apparent injury.

A sample was taken from Taking Aim, the winner of the event.

Mepunga Prue was quick to begin. Urana Vee Eight was slow to begin.

Zipping Archie and Rockstar Patriot collided soon after the start, checking Zipping Archie, Rockstar Patriot and Flying Flyer. Zipping Archie and Rockstar Patriot collided on the first turn, checking Rockstar Patriot and causing Urana Vee Eight to race wide. Mepunga Prue lost ground from the fourth turn. Zipping Archie eased and pulled up approaching the winning post, checking Flying Flyer, Cooper Scooper, Dyna Zad, Urana Vee Eight and Mepunga Prue.

Mepunga Prue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Archie was vetted following the event and trainer Mr Glenn Rounds declined to have the greyhound revetted. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No veterinary stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Rounds, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Archie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zipping Archie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Rounds pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Archie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted

A sample was taken from Rockstar Patriot, the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Uno Fabio.

Snip Snap was quick to begin. Uno Fabio and Fonty Allen were slow to begin.

Lainey's Fortune and Cardamom collided on the first turn. Billy Moran and Aston Frankel collided approaching the second turn, checking Aston Frankel and severely checking Billy Moran.  Lainey's Fortune and Cardamom collided on the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Snip Snap checked off Dyna Hinkley in the back straight.

Billy Moran was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Reckoning.

Manifold, Dyna Oscar and Dyna Fabrice collided soon after the start, checking He Shall Fred, Manifold and Dyna Oscar. He Shall Fred and Manifold collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Dyna Oscar and Dyna Fabrice collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Oscar. Dyna Fabrice and Sable Sass collided on the second turn, checking Sable Sass. Manifold checked off Dyna Oscar approaching the home turn.

Bera Na Liva, Paxton Bale, Oshkosh Erny Vee and Dyna Denver were slow to begin.

Oshkosh Erny Vee, Kiss Me Nicki and Oshkosh Jay collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Oshkosh Erny Vee, Oshkosh Jay, Paxton Bale and Kiss Me Nicki. Bera Na Liva checked off Oshkosh Erny Vee approaching the second turn, checking  Kiss Me Nicki and Paxton Bale. Bera Na Liva and Paxton Bale collided on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Dyna Denver, the winner of the event.

Dyna Maple and Midnight Hero were quick to begin.

Zipping Buck, Dyna Terror and Loch Freddie collided soon after the start, checking Loch Freddie. Dyna Terror, Loch Freddie and Dyna Evelyn collided on the first turn, checking, Dyna Terror and Dyna Evelyn which both raced wide and severely checking Loch Freddie which fell. Dyna Maple checked off Midnight Hero on the second turn.

Loch Freddie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

A sample was taken from Oshkosh Yobbo, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr David Crawford after the greyhound He Shall Johnny was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Crawford was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure..

Carla Zeus, Victor Dora and He's Loaded were quick to begin.

Slinky Inky, Dyna Gertie and He Shall Johnny collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Gertie. Slinky Inky and Oshkosh Expert collided in the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Slinky Inky checked off Oshkosh Expert on the fourth turn. Why That and Dyna Gertie collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Poke The Bear.

Poke The Bear was quick to begin. My Name's David and Pants On Fire were slow to begin.

Tiggerlong Nosey and Envy Heist collided soon after the start. Mossimo Bale, My Name's David and Miss Innings collided soon after the start, checking My Name's David. Mossimo Bale and Miss Innings collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Innings. Envy Heist and Pants On Fire collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds and causing Pants On Fire to race wide. My Name's David and Tiggerlong Nosey collided in the back straight, checking My Name's David, Miss Innings and Envy Heist.

Kentucky Sun and Kulu Zipster collided soon after the start, checking Kentucky Sun. Tahleia Brae and Flying Cash collided approaching the first turn, checking Tahleia Brae. Kentucky Sun crossed to the outside on the first turn, checking Tahleia Brae and Mepunga Debbie. Quartz Vein, Mepunga Debbie and Tahleia Brae collided in the back straight, checking Tahleia Brae.

Dyna Nancy crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Scorching Lucy. Scorching Lucy and Clovally Granite collided approaching the first turn, checking Scorching Lucy. Dyna Nancy checked off My Redeemer on the first turn. Dyna Owen checked off My Redeemer on the second turn. Clovally Granite checked off Folding Green in the back straight.

Weeona Dino checked off Dorrigo Bale on the first turn. Weeona Dino checked off Dyna Carmen on the second turn, checking Dorrigo Bale. Veracity and Chief's Empire collided on the third turn, checking Chief's Empire.

Chief's Empire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Nathan Rooney, the kennel representative for Chief's Empire, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6), lure driver Mr Chris Chilcott did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Zippy Daph and Dyna Gavin collided soon after the start. Dyna Gavin, Tiza Fabio and Trademark Rocky collided approaching the first turn, checking Tiza Fabio and Trademark Rocky. Dyna Benny checked off Reign Of Omar on the first turn. Kulu Cooper checked off Dyna Uni on the second turn. Reign Of Omar and Dyna Uni collided in the back straight, checking Dyna Uni and Kulu Cooper. Tiza Fabio checked off Dyna Benny approaching the home turn.
