Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Diego Fernando.
Diego Fernando was a late scratching at 7:17pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to the mouth. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Da End was quick to begin. Johnny Utah and Rapid Coconut collided soon after the start. Shakey Coconut, Zipping Galon and Johnny Utah collided approaching the first turn checking Johnny Utah and severely checking Zipping Galon. Rapid Coconut checked off Shakey Coconut on the first turn. Rapid Coconut faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off as a result. Zipping Galon raced wide on the home turn.
Rapid Coconut was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind tarsal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Zipping Galon was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
