Steward's Report
Darren Allen was quick to begin. Dashing Weetbix and Monsoon Malabar collided soon after the start, checking Monsoon Malabar. Chilling Story and Darren Allen collided approaching the first turn. Winlock Dyno and Dashing Weetbix collided on the first turn. Darren Allen, Flying Barcia and Kraken Head collided on the first turn, checking Flying Barcia. Monsoon Malabar galloped on the heels of Dashing Weetbix approaching the home turn, checking Dashing Weetbix and Flying Barcia.
Stewards spoke to Ms Barbara Breen after the greyhound Dashing Weetbix was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Ms Breen was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling she ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure. Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr S Manning after the greyhound Dashing Weetbix was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Manning was reminded of their responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Douglas Eddy via telephone regarding his failure to have the greyhound, Sylo, vetted following the event. Stewards issued Mr Eddy with a warning pursuant to GAR 42(2). A Veterinary Certificate will have to be produced before any further nominations will be accepted.
