Mr. E Lieshout, trainer of Parumba Ned declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Parumba Ned last raced at 33.8kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Whitford, the trainer of Georgie Porgi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Georgie Porgi last raced on 7th January 2018. Mr. Whitford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Georgie Porgi, Good Old Days and Parumba Ned were slow to begin. Georgie Porgi and Shotgun Shiloh collided soon after the start. Georgie Porgi, Shotgun Shiloh, Happy Cruising and Good Old Days collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking Shotgun Shiloh, Happy Cruising and Good Old Days.

Falling In Love was a late scratching at 7:12pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to an infection of the left front dew claw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed

Wyaxehi was very slow to begin (4 Lengths). Janray Tigerlily, True Gem and Alon collided soon after the start. Janray Tigerlily and True Gem collided approaching the first turn, checking Janray Tigerlily. Blunderbuss and True Gem collided on the first turn, severely checking True Gem. Janray Tigerlily raced wide from approaching the home turn to the home turn. 

Janray Tigerlily was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Cranberry Miss - the winner of the event.

Dreamtime Anna was a late scratching at 5:50pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. D White was fined the sum of $100.

Goldielocks Rose and Bar King Bonza were quick to begin. Select Teeman and Bob's Cash collided soon after the start. Bob's Cash and Bar King Bonza collided on the first turn, checking Bar King Bonza. Dr. Chella, Select Teeman and Goldielocks Rose collided approaching the home turn.

Bar King Bonza was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Harper's Hand was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Royal Order was quick to begin. Hurricane Craig was slow to begin. Rust, Shy Gem and Blue Bar Pie collided soon after the start. Polo Pete and Select Mick collided approaching the first turn, checking Polo Pete. Polo Pete, Hurricane Craig and That Will Be collided on the first turn. Select Mick checked off Rust on the first turn.

Ruby's Image was quick to begin. Zoobie and Vens Revenge collided soon after the start. Barroom Counsel, Zoobie, Vens Revenge and Dr. Darkrai collided on the first turn. Barroom Counsel, Zoobie and Dr. Darkrai collided entering the back straight, checking Barroom Counsel. Slippery Sam and Ruby's Image collided entering the home straight.

Nicky Neo and Lady Bullseye collided on the first turn. Dr. Annie and Emilia Mel collided on the first turn. Runnin' On Fire, Nicky Neo and Lady Bullseye collided on the second turn. Runnin' On Fire and Dr. Annie collided entering the home straight.

Milla Rose was quick to begin. Special Member, Jonny Bravo and Brandeen Bayley collided on the first turn. Milla Rose, Lucas Rose, Dr. Shreds and Dr. Summer collided on the first turn, checking Dr. Shreds. Special Member checked off Bossino entering the home straight.

Lottie Glenda, Buzz Rash and Aston Hinkley were quick to begin. Wild Hunny, Reatily Shintaro and Dee Dee Kay collided on the first turn, severely checking all three greyhounds. Lottie Glenda checked off Dewana Special on the third turn. Aston Hinkley and Dewana Special collided entering the home straight, and again in the home straight.

Wild Hunny was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Urban Image was quick to begin. Galloping Rokyto was slow to begin. Gene Man was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Urban Image, Somerton May, Oni and Alonso Power collided soon after the start. Water Pistol, Somerton May and Galloping Rokyto collided on the first turn, checking Somerton May. Gene Man galloped on the heels of Col's Hope on the first turn. Oni and Alonso Power collided approaching the winning post. Urban Image failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post.

Col's Hope was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Sciortino, the trainer of the greyhound Urban Image regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Urban Image was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had a papilloma on the left front paw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Urban Image with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Sciortino pleaded not guilty to the charge, Urban Image was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre race sample was taken from Drama Club.

Strycova and Ava's Dream collided soon after the start. Drama Club, Loco Queen and Akina Blitz collided approaching the first turn. Drama Club, Strycova, Ava's Dream and Denny Blue collided on the first turn, checking Drama Club and Ava's Dream. Akina Blitz and Run Rita Run collided on the first turn. Loco Queen and Akina Blitz collided entering the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Akina Blitz, Strycova and Denny Blue collied in the back straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Lost Blue.

Our Mojo was slow to begin. Gotcha Mate, Sunset Senorita, Eduardo Rose, Galloping Leo, Blocka Boy, Dr. Gammiris and Our Mojo collided on the first turn, checking Sunset Senorita, Eduardo Roes, Dr. Gammiris and Our Mojo, and severely checking Galloping Leo and Blocka Boy, both greyhounds fell as a result.

Galloping Leo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Blocka Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand toe to the left hind paw, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Tinderella.

Black Shirley and Meehan Phil were slow to begin. Caidan Marlo and Soda Storm collided on the first turn, checking Soda Storm. Seventh Cavalry, Conclusive and Tinderella collided on the first turn, checking Conclusive and Tinderella. Conclusive and Meehan Phil collided in the back straight. Our Echo Rose and Seventh Cavalry collided on the second turn, checking Seventh Cavalry. Black Shirley and Conclusive collided on the second turn. Soda Storm and Our Echo Rose collided several times in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Wolowizard trialled over the 315m from box one, weight 30.1kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 18.54, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75 lengths. Wolowizard was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Galloping Micky trialled over the 315m from box two, weight 31.8kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 18.54, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a neck. Galloping Micky was Not Cleared.
