Steward's Report
Brake Drum and Avatar Vixen were quick to begin. Dark Origins was slow to begin. Kalani Tim and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn. Miss Twerker crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Kalani Tim. Miss Twerker marred Kalani Tim on the home turn and in the home straight, both greyhounds tailed off as a result.
Miss Twerker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg wrist and right hindleg triangle injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Frank Meyer, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Twerker regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Miss Twerker with marring.. Mr Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Twerker was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 28 days (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
