Steward's Report
Mr Tony Duncan was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers were produced for the greyhound, All Inn Johnson, pursuant to GAR 33.
Xtreme Notice and Avatar Sparkle were quick to begin. Gestalt Allen and Cosmic Creek were slow to begin. Black Market and Ah Sugar Sugar collided on the first turn. Gestalt Allen and Cosmic Creek collided approaching the home turn. Gestalt Allen and All Inn Johnson collided on the home turn. Xtreme Notice and Avatar Sparkle collided in the home straight. Cosmic Creek eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Crawley, the trainer of the greyhound Cosmic Creek regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Cosmic Creek was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg chest muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Cosmic Creek with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Crawley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cosmic Creek was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Kraken Rose trialled over the 485m from box one, weight 28.2 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 27.90, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.25 lengths. Kraken Rose was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Zipping Harper trialled over the 485m from box eight, weight 36.5 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 27.90, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.25 lengths. Zipping Harper was Cleared.
