Omar Parker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg wrist injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Shamrock Valley was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left chest and metatarsal abrasions.  No stand down period was imposed.

Brake Drum and Avatar Vixen were quick to begin.  Dark Origins was slow to begin.  Kalani Tim and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn.  Miss Twerker crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Kalani Tim.  Miss Twerker marred Kalani Tim on the home turn and in the home straight, both greyhounds tailed off as a result.

Miss Twerker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg wrist and right hindleg triangle injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Frank Meyer, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Twerker regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Miss Twerker with marring.. Mr Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Twerker was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 28 days (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Grand Maximus was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet Spud was a late scratching at 8:33 am, due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Percy's Empire was a late scratching at 12:39 pm, due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Darren Brown was fined the sum of $100.

This race was delayed approximately 2.3 minutes, to hold for a Newcastle Harness event.

Xtreme Notice and Avatar Sparkle were quick to begin.  Gestalt Allen and Cosmic Creek were slow to begin.  Black Market and Ah Sugar Sugar collided on the first turn.  Gestalt Allen and Cosmic Creek collided approaching the home turn.  Gestalt Allen and All Inn Johnson collided on the home turn.  Xtreme Notice and Avatar Sparkle collided in the home straight.  Cosmic Creek eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Crawley, the trainer of the greyhound Cosmic Creek regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Cosmic Creek was vetted  following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg chest muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Cosmic Creek with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Crawley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cosmic Creek was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kraken Rose trialled over the 485m from box one, weight 28.2 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 27.90, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Kraken Rose was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zipping Harper trialled over the 485m from box eight, weight 36.5 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 27.90, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Zipping Harper was Cleared.
