A pre-race sample was taken from Harambe's Might.
Lady Spur, Zipping Paris and Spring To Wyn were slow to begin.
Zipping Spur checked off Spring to Wyn approaching the first turn. Meehan Sox and Spring To Wyn collided on the first turn. Lady Spur raced wide on the first turn severely checking Zipping Paris which fell. Empress Lu and Meehan Sox collided on the first turn. Harambe's Might and Dewana Dimie collided on the second turn. Harambe's Might and Lady Spur collided in the back straight.
Zipping Paris was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh injury and a spike wound to the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
