MEETING COMMENTS: 

Stewards altered the kennelling closing time in accordance to GAR 31(3) due a traffic incident/ fatality on the South Gippsland Highway which caused major delays, as a result Stewards put all races back one race with the last race now scheduled at 10.43pm.

Hypo Chared was quick to begin.  Just Won Lotto and Shrek's Rusty were slow to begin.

Jagger Circuit checked off Gypsy Kiowa on the first turn.  Just Won Lotto checked off Jagger Circuit on the first turn.  Just Won Lotto checked off Shrek's Rusty on the first turn.  Springinator raced wide approaching the home turn.  Shrek's Rusty and Jagger Circuit collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Burns, the trainer of Touch Of Silk regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Touch Of Silk last raced on4th September 2017.Mr Burns stated that the greyhound was returning from a left hock injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Church Parade.

Why Not Leo was quick to begin.  Superior Martini and Church Parade were slow to begin.

Superior Martini checked off Milly’s Missile soon after the start.  New Fire Girl and Holiday Dancer collided approaching the first turn checking Holiday Dancer.  Holiday Dancer checked off Church Parade approaching the home turn.  Romany Girl checked off Touch Of Silk approaching the home turn.  Church Parade checked off Superior Martini approaching the home turn.  New Fire Girl, Superior Martini and Milly's Missile collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds.  Superior Martini and Milly's Missile collided in the home straight.  New Fire Girl and Church Parade collided in the home straight.  Holiday Dancer raced wide in the home straight.

Mrs J. Imlach, trainer of Atigrado declared a new weight of 23.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Atigrado last raced at 24.6kgs.

Poppy's Way and Atigrado were quick to begin.  Dee Final Siren and Pyschedelic Jay were slow to begin.  

Galloping Flash and Dapper Diesel collided approaching the first turn.  Poppy's Way and Whiz collided on the first turn.  Maggie Mikado raced wide on the first turn.  Galloping Flash and Dapper Diesel collided several times from the first turn to the second turn checking both greyhounds. Dee Final Siren and Dapper Diesel collided on the home turn.  Poppy's Way and Whiz collided in the home straight.

Mustang Sammy was quick to begin.  Shanlyn Pippin and My Names Schultz were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn.  Shanlyn Pippin and Hardaway Outlaw checked off My Names Schultz on the first turn.  Mustang Sammy raced wide in the home straight.

Uno Arjo was quick to begin.  San Tan Sonny were slow to begin and contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  

Uno Arjo and Fleet Trades collided on the first turn checking Diesel Turbo.  Diesel Turbo and Fleet Trades collided entering the back straight checking Fleet Trades.  Fleet Trades and Temujin collided on the third turn.  Diesel Turbo checked off Shall She Cindy approaching the home turn.  Diesel Turbo and Temujin collided approaching the home turn.  Fleet Trades raced wide in the home straight.

Downing Street and Matty Mateusz were slow to begin.

Memphis Sky checked off Polite Request on the first turn checking Aston Groucho, Sweet Sparkle and Matty Mateusz, causing Aston Groucho to fall severely checking Sweet Sparkle and Matty Mateusz as a result.  Ratajkowski, My Redeemer and Polite Request collided on the first turn checking My Redeemer.  Ratajkowski and Downing Street collided approaching the second turn.  Matty Mateusz raced wide in the back straight.  Ratajkowski checked off Downing Street on the third turn.  Sweet Sparkle checked off Ratajkowski approaching the home turn.  Matty Mateusz checked off Sweet Sparkle approaching the home turn.  Ratajkowski checked off Downing Street entering the home straight.  

Aston Groucho was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right stopper, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sale Graze Bindi was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Mighty Josiah and Yogi Mikado collided soon after the start checking Mighty Josiah.  Maximum Gift and Take The Rapid collided soon after the start severely checking Maximum Gift which stumbled.  Watch The One and Dynamo Jezz collided on the first turn checking Dynamo Jezz.  Sale Graze Bindi raced wide in the back straight.  Dynamo Jezz checked off Maximum Gift on the third turn.

Lady Spur, Zipping Paris and Spring To Wyn were slow to begin.

Zipping Spur checked off Spring to Wyn approaching the first turn.  Meehan Sox and Spring To Wyn collided on the first turn.  Lady Spur raced wide on the first turn severely checking Zipping Paris which fell.  Empress Lu and Meehan Sox collided on the first turn.  Harambe's Might and Dewana Dimie collided on the second turn.  Harambe's Might and Lady Spur collided in the back straight.

Zipping Paris was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh injury and a spike wound to the left front foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kiowa Kaema was quick to begin.  Flying Away and Cawbourne Lambo were slow to begin.

Major Energy checked off Kouta And Cream on the first turn checking Go Zippy Go.  Kouta And Cream checked off Kiowa Kaema on the first turn checking So Easy.  Flying Away checked off Major Energy approaching the home turn.  Regal Tycoon and Cawbourne Lambo collided approaching the home turn.  Major Energy severely checked off Go Zippy Go on the home turn severely checking Cawbourne Lambo, Regal Tycoon and Flying Away, Major Energy stumbled as a result.  Go Zippy Go galloped on Kouta And Cream in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Sunlit Johnny was a late scratching at 6.05pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Charlott's Angel was quick to begin.  Superfast Love was slow to begin.

Need A Zac, Weiss Allen, Superfast Love and Buckle Up York collided on the first turn checking Superfast Love and Need A Zac.  Weiss Allen checked off Buckle Up York on the first turn causing Weiss Allen to stumble.  Weiss Allen and Superfast Love collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight.

Bob's Gift was quick to begin.  Pop Do It was slow to begin.

Premier Jess raced wide approaching the first turn causing Miss Dozer and Legal to collide.  Miss Dozer and Legal collided entering the home straight.  Premier Jess and Bob's Gift collided entering the home straight.  Trov's Gem raced wide entering the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Blue Afro - winner of the event.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Riverside Kim and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms M. Payne was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Ms L. Davis, the trainer of Sonny's Honey regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sonny's Honey last raced on14th July 2017. Ms Davis stated that the greyhound was returning from seasonal. Ms Davis also declared a new weight of 32.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sonny's Honey last raced at 31.7kgs.

El My Girl and Sonny's Honey were slow to begin.

Tricky Trey checked off Boopa Doop Girl approaching the first turn.  Hey Shazza Fozz checked off Boopa Doop Girl on the first turn checking El My Girl.  Hey Shazza Fozz and El My Girl collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight severely checking both greyhounds.
