A pre-race sample was taken from Mignon.
Emilia Mel and Our Mojo were slow to begin. Sooky Jooky and Bumble Bee Bolto collided on the first turn checking Sooky Jooky. Kiss Me Nicki was checked off Bumble Bee Bolto approaching the home turn severely checking Sooky Jooky and Kiss Me Nicki and checking Aston Danger, Aston Danger raced wide as a result. Emilia Mel and Mignon collided approaching the home turn checking Emilia Mel and severely checking Mignon which stumbled and lost ground. Sooky Jooky and Aston Danger collided entering the home straight. Emilia Mel, Sooky Jooky and Aston Danger raced wide in the home straight.
Mignon was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Coulson the representative for Bumble Bee Bolto regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing pursuant to GAR 46(1).
