Steward's Report
Boil Over was quick to begin. Brindle Bay and Iris Allen collided on the first turn. Iris Allen and Brindle Bay collided several times approaching the second turn and entering the back straight severely checking both greyhounds. Iris Allen marred the running of Brindle Bay in the home straight checking Brindle Bay.
Iris Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right calf and right back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Capuano, the trainer of the greyhound Iris Allen regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Iris Aleen with marring. Mr Capuano pleaded guilty to the charge, Iris Allen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
