Blue Sky Riot, Zippy Daph and Kalani Klare were quick to begin. Oshkosh Yobbo and Orleans were slow to begin. Hukanui and Away We Go collided approaching the first turn.Oshkosh Yobbo, Hukanui and Away We Go collided approaching the first turn checking Hukanui. Zippy Daph and Striker Light collided on the first turn and approaching the second turn checking Zippy Daph which raced wide, faltered and tailed off as a result. Kalani Klare and Blue Sky Riot collided on the second turn checking Kalani Klare. Hukanui and Away We Go collided approaching the home turn. Kalani Klare and Striker Light collided approaching the winning post.
Zippy Daph was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle, right calf and right triangle muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
