Extra Gear, Big Deal and Lonesome Spring collided soon after the start, checking Lonesome Spring.   My Redeemer checked off Dyna Forrest on the first turn.  Orazzi Ohh galloped on the heels of Extra Gear on the first turn.  Dyna Forrest stumbled approaching the home turn. Orazzi Ohh and Extra Gear collided approaching the home turn.  Big Deal and Extra Gear collided several times approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  My Redeemer checked off Dyna Forrest in the home straight. Lonesome Spring raced wide throughout the event. 

Extra Gear was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hindleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Too The Nail was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Kelly Bravo, the handler of the greyhound Too The Nail, who declined to have the greyhound revetted, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Too The Nail with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs Bravo pleaded guilty to the charge, Too The Nail was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mahjong Baby, Tayla's Banjo and Shadowman were slow to begin.  Very Venom and Tayla's Banjo collided approaching the first turn, checking Mahjong Baby.   Bundarra Magic and Tiggerlong Zorro collided approaching the home turn, checking Bundarra Magic.  Onya Grover checked off Tayla's Banjo approaching the home turn.  Bundarra Magic checked off Tiggerlong Zorro in the home straight.
