Champagne Luxe and Yanly Bale were quick to begin and collided soon after the start. Ballistic Gem galloped on Yanly Bale on the first turn, Yanly Bale faltered and tailed off. Champagne Luxe and Ballistic Gem collided in the home straight.
Yanly Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right fractured hock, and was humanely euthanised.
