Sutton Jake and Late Arrival were slow to begin.  Terrigal Tornado crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Sutton Jake and Sweet Shiraz.  Slow As Thunder crossed to the inside soon affer the start colliding with Little Coco and Late Arrival.  Little Coco and Slow As Thunder collided at the 250m mark.  Little Coco checked off Sutton Jake approaching the 200m mark.  Nunniong Fire and Evil Currency collided at the 200m mark.

Mr. Delahoya was a late scratching at 03:41am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Faulknall, the trainer of Keeping Gracie, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mr. Faulknall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spelling period.  Mr Faulknall also re-declared a new weight of 24.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Keeping Gracie last raced at Sale on 25 June, 2017 at a weight of 22.7kgs.

Latissimus Dorsi and Toby Sure were slow to begin.  Keeping Gracie and Toby Sure collided soon after the start.  Toby Sure and Royal Solo collided at the 250m mark checking Boy Of Pizazz.  Toby Sure and Royal Solo collided at the 200m mark.

Keeping Gracie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Macauliff, Heard A Rumour and Twilight Shae were slow to begin.  Welshman and Alina Grand collided soon after the start.   Booming Zulus, Heard A Rumour and Welshman collided soon after the start severely checking Heard A Rumour.  Subscapularis crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide throughout the event.  Macauliff and Booming Zulus collided approaching the 300m mark.  Welshman checked off Cullquin Abbey approaching the 250m mark.  Heard A Rumour and Twilight Shae collided at the 150m mark.

Early Storm, Tally Ho Jack and Tiny Octane were slow to begin.  Taxi Jack crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with Tally Ho Jack.  Karaoke Ken crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Tiny Octane.  Early Storm and Tyson Trump collided several times from soon after the start to the 300m mark.  Karaoke Ken and Tiny Octane collided at the 250m mark.  Early Storm and Taxi Jack collided at the 200m mark.  Kayla Las and Need A Zac collided at the 100m mark.  Tiny Octane and Kayla Las collided at the 150m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gordon Edwards, the trainer of Miss Pepperoni regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Miss Pepperoni last raced at Warragul on 23 June, 2017.  Mr. Edwardsl stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.  Mr Gordon Edwards also re-declared a new weight of 26.8 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(1).  Miss Pepperoni last raced at Warragul on 23 June, 2017 at 24.8 kgs.

Doyen King, Bling Worthy and Miss Pepperoni collided soon after the start.  Bling Worthy checked off Destini Florida at the 300m mark.  Sargent checked off Popowski at the 300m mark.  Popowski and Bling Worthy collided from the 250m mark to the 200m mark.  Sargent checked off Popowski at the 150m mark.

Miss Pepperoni was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Early Spring and Rocky Gee Rocks were slow to begin.  Fuelish and Rockin' Rico collided soon after the start.  Betstakker crossed to the inside soon after the start.  Arashundi and Fuelish collided approaching the 250m mark.  Early Spring and Magic Buddie collided at the 250m mark.  Early Spring, Arashundi and Fuelish collided at the 150m mark.  Fuelish and Rockin' Rico collided at the 150m mark.  Fuelish checked off Rockin' Ricco at the 50m mark.

Silver Banjo was slow to begin.  Silver Banjo, Twilight Fever, Peninsula Panda, Bourbon An Kahn and Stylish Bree collided at the 300m mark checking Peninsula Panda.  Twilight Fever, Burbon An Kahn and Stylish Bree collided approaching the 250m mark.  Peninsula Panda and Stylish Bree collided at the 250m mark.  Bourbon An Kahn and Vane Blue collided at the 250m mark.  Silver Banjo and Vane Blue collided at the 200m mark.  Silver Banjo and Twilight Fever collided at the 50m mark checking Silver Banjo.

Stewards spoke to Mr V Borg, the trainer of Mumma Josie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mumma Josie  last raced at Sandown on 18 May, 2017.  Mr Borg stated that Mumma Josie was returning to racing following a right metatarsal injury.

Mumma Josie and Cullquin Bomber were slow to begin.  Early Express and Queen Coriander collided soon after the start.   Splash Of Blue, Cullquin Bomber, Early Express and Queen Coriander collided at the 300m mark checking Queen Coriander and Mumma Josie.  Cullquin Arashundi and Fuelish collided approaching the 250m mark.  Cullquin Bomber and Early Express colided several times at the 150m mark severely checking Early Express in turn checking Johnny's return as a result.

This Event was delayed approximately one minute due to a harness race at Yonkers running behind schedule.

Supraspina Tus and Tally Ho Billy were slow to begin.  Master Rico, Oozing Mojo and Leaf Spring collided soon after the start.  Tally Ho Billy, Oozing Mojo and Leaf Spring collided at the 275m mark.  Leaf Spring and Bear Cabang collided at the 100m mark.  Master Rico and Leaf Spring collided several times from the 50m mark to the winning post.

Tally Ho Len was slow to begin.  Bruree Girl, Steel Magnetic and Chain Smoker collided at the 250m mark.  Bruree Girl and Chain Smoker collided approaching the 200m mark.  Steel Magnetic and Aladdin Prince collided approaching the 200m mark.  Bruree Girl and Chain Smoker collided several times at the 200m mark severely checking Bruree Girl.  Super Serna and Double The Magic collided at the 150m mark.  Aladdin Prince checked off Steel Magnetic at the 150m mark.  Double The Magic and Steel Magnetic collided at the 100m mark.  Tally Ho Len crossed to the outside at the 100m mark.

Your Shout Punk was slow to begin.  Shake The Night and Dami Gal collided several times approaching the 250m mark.  Magic Moon and Miss Kirteish collided approaching the 250m mark.  Shake the Night checked off We Have Hope at the 200m mark.  Early King and Miss Kirteish collided several times from the 200m mark to the 150m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr K Chivell, the trainer of Destini Supreme, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Destini Supreme last raced at Warrnambool on 22 June, 2017.  Chivell stated that 

Mr G Graham, trainer of Crash Reality, declared a new weight of 28.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(1).  Crash Reality last raced at Warragul on 20 September, 2017 at 26.8 kgs.

Crash Reality, Destini Supreme and Tobias Kelton were slow to begin.  Destini Supreme and Tobias Kelton collided soon after the start.  Von Costa Kahn and Frisco Liz collided soon after the start.  Crash Reality, Destini Supreme, Tobias Kelton and Odd Boots collided several times at the 250m mark.  Destini Supreme and Von Costa Kahn collided several times at the 150m mark.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

On Sunday, 17 September 2017, Stewards opened and adjourned an Inquiry in relation to the failure of greyhound "Harsh Miles" being caught following Race 1 at the Healesville meeting on 17 September, 2017.   Stewards took evidence from licensed Handler, Ms Tamara Cornell and trainer of "Harsh Miles" - Mr. B Cook regarding the matter.  Stewards concluded the Inquiry at today's meeting and following all evidence presented, Stewards fined Ms Tamara Cornell the sum of $100 for failing to catch "Harsh Miles" after being engaged by Mr. Cook to do so in Event 1 at Healesville on 17 September, 2017.
