Far Welsh checked off Dyna Fable soon after the start. Sweet Emma checked off Koitsenko soon after the start. Far Welsh checked off Sweet Emma approaching the first turn. Xera Bale brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Dyna Zad checked off Doorkeeper entering the home straight, checking Koitsenko, No More and Dyna Fable. Far Welsh raced wide entering the home straight. Koitsenko and No More collided in the home straight. 

Far Welsh was vetted following the event and revetted following event six. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Coulson, the handler of Far Welsh regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn, and again entering the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr, S. Coulson, the handler of the greyhound Far Welsh. Taking into consideration the greyhound was having it's first race start, Stewards deemed the performance of Far Welsh unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Far Welsh must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Big Lebowski and Chesca were slow to begin and collided on the first turn, checking Chesca. Why Not Kylie checked off Minnie Wizard on the home turn. 

Stewards noted that the original time recorded for this event on the semaphore board was incorrect. The time was corrected to 21.93 after the all clear was given.

Tear Away Jock was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right hock, and was humanely euthanased.

Gentle Giant was slow to begin. Jen Shen and Lektra Rival collided soon after the start, checking Jen Shen. Lainey's Fortune and Airborn And Gone collided approaching the first turn. Ace Gone Wild, Airborn And Gone and Gentle Giant collided on the first turn, checking Ace Gone Wild, Jack's Rainbow and Clavash.

Gold Bombardier was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hamstring and a cut to the left front toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stand Beside Me was vetted following an incident in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left front toe, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Maximum Gift and Why Not Archie collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Gift. Noonbarra Storm and Dance And Sing collided approaching the first turn. Noonbarra Storm, Sacred Miss and Furtado collided on the first turn, checking Sacred Miss, Furtado and Dance And Sing. Why Not Archie and Furtado collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Gift crossed to the outside entering the home straight and checked off the heels of Why Not Archie, checking Furtado as a result.
