Steward's Report
Eumeralla Rosie was quick to begin. Back On Lava crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Good Luck Mick, Hit The Runway and Federal Agent. Three Scoops and Back On Lava collided on the first turn, checking Back On Lava. Federal Agent checked off Hit The Runway on the first turn. Federal Agent and Hit The Runway collided entering the back straight, checking Federal Agent, and severely checking Hit The Runway. Hit The Runway eased approaching the third turn and tailed off. Three Scoops checked off Miss Lava approaching the home turn. Three Scoops checked off Back On Lava in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Stanley, the trainer of the greyhound Hit The Runway regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the third turn. Hit The Runway was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadriceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Hit The Runway with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Stanley pleaded guilty to the charge, Hit The Runway was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
