A pre race sample was taken from Mepunga Debbie.
Far Sighted and Ark Lightning were slow to begin. Mepunga Debbie and Ark Lightning collided soon after the start, checking Ark Lightning. Far Sighted and Mabuti Miss collided on the first turn, checking Mabuti Miss and Ark Lightning, and severely checking Ledgerwood Molly, which fell as a result.
Ledgerwood Molly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
