Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Daintree Dynamo.
Last Princess was slow to begin. Hillbilly Bubba and Daintree Dynamo collided soon after the start. Star's Big Boy and Tricky Trey collided soon after the start. Star's Big Boy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Hillbilly Bubba and Frisco Liz. Daintree Dymano crossed to the outside soon after the start. Last Princess and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the winning post. Daintree Dynamo eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Walker, the representative of the greyhound Daintree Dynamo regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Daintree Dynamo was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left front leg. No stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Daintree Dynamo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Walker pleaded guilty to the charge. Daintree Dynamo was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
