Hillybilly Spunk was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Riley, the handler of Secret High regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Secret High last raced on 12th May 2017.  Ms. J. Riley stated that the greyhound is returning to race from a change of kennels.  Ms. Riley also declared a new weight of 33.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Secret High last raced at 34.1kgs.

Secret High crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Flying Vulcan.  Go Go Pipsqueak and Billy Swagger collided soon after the start.  Total Diva checked off Gambler's Loot at the 300 metre mark.  In A Jam checked off Go Go Pipsqueak approaching the 250 metre mark and raced wide as a result.  Flying Vulcan and Secret High collided several times from the 300 metre mark to the 200 metre mark checking Secret High.  Gambler's Loot and Billy Swagger collided at the 100 metre mark checking Gambler's Loot.  Total Diva and Go Go Pipsqueak collided approaching the winning post.  Octo Flash marred the running of Billy Swagger approaching the winning post checking Billy Swagger.  Total Diva checked off Go Go Pipsqueak approaching the winning post.

Octo Flash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left monkey muscle and left shoulder.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Kelly, the trainer of the greyhound Octo Flash regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Octo Flash with marring.  Mr. Kelly pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Octo Flash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Billy Swagger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right hind toes.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Mason, the trainer of the greyhound Billy Swagger, and after viewing the head on vision, Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Mason regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.

Wiggle Emma and Gotta Little Big were slow to begin.  Jupiter Ascending, Wiggle Emma, Gotta Little Big and Bye Bye Boy collided soon after the start. Gotta Little Big and Jupiter Ascending collided several times from the 350 metre mark to the 100 metre mark checking both greyhounds.  Arctic Blaze, Wiggle Emma and Bye Bye Boy collided at the 300 metre mark.  

Bye Bye Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left latissimus dorsi muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Major Nippa.

Cosmic Breeze, Will Dazzle and Don's Machine were slow to begin.  Major Nippa and Bolare collided soon after the start and again at the 300 metre mark.  Cosmic Breeze and Grooven Chris collided at the 300 metre mark.  Grooven Chris, Major Nippa, Bolare and Ima Ebay collided approaching the 200 metre mark checking Grooven Chris, Bolare and Ima Ebay and severely checking Major Nippa; Major Nippa faltered and lost considerable ground as a result.  Grooven Chris, Bolare and Ima Ebay collided approaching the 150 metre mark checking Cosmic Breeze.  Bolare and Ima Ebay collided approaching the winning post.

Major Nippa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Simmo, Hello Slick and Cosmic Kilby were slow to begin.  Hello Slick galloped on the heels Grand Hero soon after the start; Hello Slick faltered and tailed off as a result.  Zipping Simmo, Banjo Barbie and Miss Houdini collided at the 300 metre mark checking Banjo Barbie and Miss Houdini.  Grand Hero crossed to the rail approaching the 200 metre mark.  Banjo Barbie crossed the outside approaching the 200 metre mark checking Miss Houdini.

Hello Slick was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Assemble Nitro.

Tat Minnie and Shezza's Nitro collided soon after the start.  Blitzen Bell and Daintree Teacake collided at the 300 metre mark.  Daintree Teacake and Tat Minnie collided at the 250 metre mark and again at the 200 metre mark.  Daintree Teacake crossed to the rail at the 50 metre mark checking Blitzen Bell.

Cosmic Nosey, Keep Talking and Regional Chief collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Gunmetal Angel checked off Dynamite Dozer at the 300 metre mark.  Acquainted, Cosmic Nosey, Regional Chief and Keep Talking collided approaching the 250 metre mark checking Cosmic Nosey and Keep Talking.  Cosmic Nosey and Keep Talking collided at the 200 metre mark.  Acquainted checked off Regional Chief at the 200 metre mark.  Keep Taliking checked off Cosmic Nosey at the 150 metre mark.  Regional Chief and Dynamite Dozer collided approaching the winning post.

G. Gledhill was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card/weight card were produced for the greyhound Troy Boyce pursuant to GAR 33.

Rosacky Blitz and Emily Skye collided soon after the start.  Oz Ten Tatious, Ringading Sister and We Have Hope collided soon after the start.  We Have Hope crossed to the rail at the 250 metre mark checking Like A Fancy, Troy Boyce and Emily Skye.  Rosacky Blitz and Johnny's Return collided at the 200 metre mark.

Last Princess was slow to begin.  Hillbilly Bubba and Daintree Dynamo collided soon after the start.  Star's Big Boy and Tricky Trey collided soon after the start.  Star's Big Boy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Hillbilly Bubba and Frisco Liz.  Daintree Dymano crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Last Princess and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the winning post.  Daintree Dynamo eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Walker, the representative of the greyhound Daintree Dynamo regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Daintree Dynamo was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left front leg.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Daintree Dynamo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Walker pleaded guilty to the charge.  Daintree Dynamo was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M Williams, the trainer of Woolly Warbo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Woolly Warbo last raced on 19/05/2017 and is returning from a seasonal spell.
