Bellum Girl and Scooby Scooby Do collided soon after the start, checking Bellum Girl, Terrigal Tornado and Scooby Scooby Do. Janray Tootsie and Bellum Girl collided at the 250m mark. Janray Squawker checked off Janray Tootsie approaching the 200m mark and crossed to the outside, colliding with Bellum Girl. Scooby Scooby Do and Jagged Ice collided at the 200m mark. Don's Gas and Janray Tootsie collided at the 100m mark. Bellum Girl eased approaching the winning post and collided with He's A Freebie.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kenneth Kubik, the trainer of the greyhound Bellum Girl, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Bellum Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cervico-thoracic injury, a tarsal sprain of the right hock, and injuries to the right sartorius (pencil) and gastrocnemius (calf) muscles; a 14-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Bellum Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Kubik pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bellum Girl was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

No Laying Back, Peiwen Emgrand and Storm The Sorrow were slow to begin.

Hartley Matt and Bevvies Bullet collided soon after the start. Longshot Glory crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Peiwen Emgrand, Storm The Sorrow and Hartley Matt collided at the 250m mark. No Laying Back and Peiwen Emgrand collided approaching the 150m mark. Storm The Sorrow checked off Shady Apple approaching the 150m mark and crossed to the rail, severely checking Peiwen Emgrand, No Laying Back and Storm the Sorrow. Hartley Matt checked off Shady Apple at the 100m mark. No Laying Back and Storm The Sorrow collided at the 50m mark. Shady Apple and Bevvies Bullet collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Storm The Sorrow became dislodged during the event.

She's A Beaut was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking off Tiny Octane.

Still Just Under and Our Flying Laura collided approaching the 200m mark. She's A Beaut and Tiger Cabang collided at the 200m mark. Princess Vintage and Still Just Under collided approaching the 150m mark. Still Just Under and Our Flying Laura collided at the 150m mark.

My Echida, Makikos and Tip Tioe collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Crucial Miss checked off Grooven Chris at the 250m mark. Hookhimo Fozzio and Tip Toe collided several times from the 200m mark to approaching the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds. Hookhimo Fozzio checked off Tip Toe at the 50m mark.

The start time for this race was delayed by approximately two-and-a-half minutes due to delays in preparation in the kennelling area.

Zipping Simmo and Azza collided soon after the start. Addictive Riley and Bert's Special collided soon after the start and again at the 200m mark.

Spazzy Blue was a late scratching at 10:57AM due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Christine Cortese was fined the sum of $100.  Stewards subsequently spoke to Mr Tony Cortese (on behalf of Mrs C Cortese) regarding the matter. The Stewards subsequently lifted the 28-day stand down on the greyhound, however, the penalty will remain standing.

Superior Swagger checked off We Froff Dat at the 300m mark. Jack's Pick and Bolare collided at the 200m mark. Cosmic Nosey crossed to the outside at the 150m mark. Bolare and Gunmetal Angel collided several times at the 100m mark. Cosmic Nosey and Superior Swagger collided approaching the winning post.

Hey Hey Fozz and Dozer Gold collided soon after the start. Hey Hey Fozz checked off Roman Around at the 150m mark and crossed to the outside.

Scott It and Regional Chief collided soon after the start. Rapana and Regional Chief collided at the 250m mark. Provenance and Rapana collided approaching the 200m mark. Zipping Nicole, Regional Chief and Provenance collided at the 150m mark, checking Provenance. Zipping Nicole checked off Regional Chief at the 100m mark.

Another Hope was a late scratching at 10:58AM due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Mario Cortese was fined the sum of $100. Stewards subsequently spoke to Mr Tony Cortese (on behalf of Mr M Cortese) regarding the matter. The Stewards subsequently lifted the 28 day stand down on the greyhound, however, the penalty will remain standing.

Daintree Dynamo and William Cabang collided several times from soon after the start to the 200m mark. Open Mind and Sissy Monsoon collided several times from soon after the start to the 150m mark, checking both greyhounds; Open Mind contacted the running rail as a result. William Cabang and Paddy's Midnight collided at the 100m mark.

Open Mind was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms Julie Grindley, the trainer of Shake The Night, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. The greyhound last raced at Warragul on 25 May, 2017. Ms Grindley stated that the greyhound was spelling while she was recovering from a recent illness.
