Steward's Report
Spazzy Blue was a late scratching at 10:57AM due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Christine Cortese was fined the sum of $100. Stewards subsequently spoke to Mr Tony Cortese (on behalf of Mrs C Cortese) regarding the matter. The Stewards subsequently lifted the 28-day stand down on the greyhound, however, the penalty will remain standing.
A pre-race sample was taken from Bolare.
Cosmic Nosey was slow to begin.
Superior Swagger checked off We Froff Dat at the 300m mark. Jack's Pick and Bolare collided at the 200m mark. Cosmic Nosey crossed to the outside at the 150m mark. Bolare and Gunmetal Angel collided several times at the 100m mark. Cosmic Nosey and Superior Swagger collided approaching the winning post.
